| Dr Thomas Hugin |
Thomas Hugin has over 25 years experience of working within the field of acoustics,
noise and vibrations. With a PhD in vibro-acoustics (wave propagation in structures and acoustic interaction), he has
a strong theoretical background in addition to a large practical experience gained by investigating a wide range of technical
problems. He has worked with Professor Ken Heron on Statistical Energy Analysis predictions. He has managed and worked
on a large number of projects involving structures of all sizes such as helicopters, domestic appliances, trucks,
ships, trains and industrial installations. His
interests include acoustic modelling, modal analysis, sound radiation, sound transmission, Statistical Energy Analysis, finite
element method, measurements & signal analysis, active vibration control, resilient mounting, discrete optimisation algorithms
and passive control measures.
